Johnson Memorial Health Receives Prestigious 5-Star Quality Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Franklin, IN – Johnson Memorial Health has earned a 5-star rating, the highest possible overall quality rating, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its 2025 national survey. This elite recognition places JMH among the top 10.1 percent of hospitals nationwide.
Only 290 hospitals in the United States achieved a 5-star rating this year, including just 12 in Indiana.

The CMS 5-star rating is a direct result of that commitment.”
CMS assigns star ratings to hospitals nationwide based on their performance across five key areas:
- Mortality
- Safety of Care
- Readmission Rates
- Patient Experience
- Timely and Effective Care
The overall hospital rating is intended to help patients, families, and caregivers compare hospitals and make informed decisions about where to receive care. The 5-star designation signifies exceptional performance in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
