Pityriasis rosea is a skin rash that usually begins as a large spot on the chest, belly, or back. A pattern of smaller spots often follows.

Symptoms

The condition can cause itching.

Treatments

Pityriasis rosea usually goes away on its own. Steroid cream, antihistamines, and antiviral medicines can help.
