Snakebite

Overview

Snakebite is an injury caused by a snake's bite. It can be life-threatening if the snake is venomous.

Treatments

If a person is bitten by a snake, it's important he or she remains calm and immobilizes the bite area. Emergency medical care is needed, especially if the area changes color, swells, or is painful.
