Somatic symptom disorder
Overview
Somatoform disorder is a mental disorder in which a person has pain or symptoms without a physical cause. The symptoms are real to the person affected. It's diagnosed when medical tests find no cause for the pain or symptoms.
Treatments
Treatments include talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
