Tension headache
Overview
A tension headache is generally a mild to moderate pain in the head.
Symptoms
It's often described as feeling like a tight band around the head.
Treatments
Treatments include pain relievers and other medications. Stress reduction, ice or heat on sore muscles, and good posture also may help.
