Johnson Memorial Health has broken ground on a long-awaited project that will construct the new Bargersville Primary Care Center.
Leaders from JMH, Johnson County and Bargersville government and project partners gathered on Monday to break ground near the intersection of Whiteland and Morgantown roads in Bargersville.
“We’re not just a building, we’re creating access — access to compassionate personal care that helps families stay healthy and helps them stay well,” said Dr. David Dunkle, president and CEO of JMH.
The facility will be 10,000 square feet and will initially house JMH family medicine offices. Other specialty care services will be added later. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026.
“We believe the health of the community depends on the health of its people, and by providing access to convenient, high-quality care close to home, we’re ensuring that Bargersville residents can build healthy lives and healthy families without having to travel very far,” said Marty Umbarger, chair of the JMH board of trustees.
Alderson Commercial Group is the leasing partner and builder. Indianapolis-based Cripe is the architect. This is the second building project partnership with Alderson Commercial Group - the other being the Stones Crossing Health Pavilion in nearby Greenwood.
